Sensepoint XCD Aluminium with ModbusThe Sensepoint XCD Aluminium (with Modbus) has been manufactured as a fixed gas detector from Honeywell for the purposes of monitoring oxygen, toxic and flammable gas hazards in potentially explosive atmospheres. This version of the device comes with a modbus and this allows the XCD to transmit data to controllers or to PLCs via connection to a bus of other devices and for remote configuration/diagnostics. The device is IP66 rated which means that it is dust and water-resistant.This is a cost-effective solution as less training is required to begin using the device. It has a one-person operation; non-intrusive nature and a simple plug in play sensor replacement mechanism.A stainless-steel housing is also available. It is relatively easy to install this system to begin using it as it has a sink/source 4-20mA output in addition to the modbus to suit your preferred wiring method. To make wiring easier, the system has removable plug/socket type terminal blocks.Sensepoint XCD makes use of poison-resistant flammable sensor technology ensuring reliability. The Surecell toxic sensors that are patent-protected allows for ongoing costs to be reduced.
