Casella dB24 Software for CEL-240The Casella dB24 Software is the digital output for the CEL-240 digital sound meter. The selected time response to the dB24 software is sent the A and C frequency weighted sound level values every second. This builds up a text file tagged with the actual date and time stamp to allow complete noise identification purpose.The Casella dB24 Software allows for regular data logging for noise investigation purposes, time history trending and a hard copy of results for archive purposes. Other applications of the software include analysis of short duration significant events such as pile driving or aircraft flyovers, the removal of unwanted samples when it is not required to gather information and also for the investigation of neighbourhood noise nuisance complaints. The software can still record when unattended noise monitoring is being carried out at inconvenient times of the day.An advantage of the software is that it can provide input to official reports.When noise levels are being downloaded from the CEL-240 sound level meter, it downloads onto Casella Drive which is a small utility installed and loaded in the background of Casella dB24 software. Run data are translated into standard csv delimited text files in the Casella Drive and can then be viewed in the H drive properties window in Windows Explorer. Files can then be opened in a standard spread sheet package.Please note: The db24 software is supplied on CD and is compatible with Windows XP, Vista and Win 7.
